Yesterday i ran into a construction tech doing pole transfers. I stopped to ask him how things were going. He says not as good as you getting 20% more pay. Not shocked, i told him i didnt want the 20%. Because this blood money is now putting me in 30% more homes everyday. I would gladly give my 20 to him to get back to 8 calls instead of 13. Mind you i am a 10 hour tech. Just remember the grass is not greener over here. This money wasn't given to say thank you. It was given so we would keep making them money an not sick out.

How about that hazard pay?Oh by the way you dont actually get 1 full check of hazard pay for a month from now,we didnt tell you that AHEAD of time,just that it is retroactive from March 28th.Keep working youre a– off,we'll pay you at some point...if you live long enough

What system are you in that you're getting more work? We were deemed a hot zone last week and I haven't been given more than 5 calls since this Sunday. Heck, I know some guys that we're routed 2 calls.
Why are you doing 13 jobs in 10 hours? Also why wouldn’t you take a lunch. That’s something you can control, not the company. Your just making it harder for the techs that want to follow safety guidelines properly.
I'm not complaining. I really like the attitude you have. Be a quitter and never fight for anymore than you have. So the lesson is, don't ever fight for more, just quit. Gotta love the 5 and 10 minute installs.Not too mention upselling 1 extra cable box for a guest bedroom noone uses.Remember how they were going to save money laying off all the in house?Turns out the contractors are staying home and it all falls on us once again to make it up.With 30% less workforce were supposed to handle 5x the call volume and increased workload.No time for even a 30 minute lunch.The 20% was leverage so they could increase our workload during a pandemic.The selective 20% was really a slap in the face for our OSP/Infrastructure brothers.Either everyone gets it,or noone gets it thats my 2 cents.Sidenote sub contractors found out fs techs got an increase and are refusing to work all over as well....
