GE never does anything because they love me. Just found out 20% of my pension check would go to pay for medical insurance. I'll keep my job thank you

If you start your own company, then you are the CEO. So if you are flying around in Two Jets, getting paid $42 Million a year, and paying your workers dirt, then it must be because that's how you want to run things. If your company is successful, then congratulations. If it fails, well that's on you and everybody with you from the top on down. If you allowed a sense of entitlement to fester and grow within your company, then it's for all of you to suffer the bitter outcome from. For the record, you may want to get out of your close minded bubble and canvas your local area because when you compare apples to apples, GE still "pays" more than what everybody else in the area "pays". The key word is "pay" because that's what you said. Don't come back with some c-ap about not being spoken to nicely or no family day picnic again and then call it abuse. Don't tell me how some other company has their workers paying less for their health insurance and leave out that they also make less per hour! If that place is so much better and GE is so terrible, then go there! You obviously think you are more than capable enough to work someplace else. There is somebody just as capable as you who will gladly take your spot and receive your "dirt"! I bet you stay put and continue to complain. If you're not happy with what you have, then that's on you. Maybe you just s— at life.
It wasn't too long ago GE dropped post-65 retiree medical benefits for salary. So don't be surprised if they decide to drop pre-65 retiree coverage in a few years. I would hate to be looking for insurance at 62 or 63 years old.
if I start my own company can I fly around the world in two jets? and can I pay the CEO 42 million because "that's what it cost to get good help" and then pay the shop workers dirt cause that's what everyone else pays.
Start your own company and you can pay all these benefits you lack.
Remember when you could just turn in your medical bill and GE would pay it?? How about when your healthcare was covered through your retirement years?? Yeah it was great!! How about when Schenectady sold us out by praising Obama just so we could give him a tour and feel like we were special and privileged. Then we gladly handed off our health coverage because we allowed ourselves to be played like a bunch of fools!! I have news for all of you, in the coming years, it's going to be much much more than 20% of our pensions going to things like out healthcare. We'll be lucky if we have any pension left over to collect 20 years from now. GE has been offloading us little by little as the days go by, right under our noses and we're too distracted to realize it.
