Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

WPRE - the 'essential non-employee' loophole

When you go into a Walgreens [WAG] it's not just their employees stocking or handling products, meet Walgreens Partners Retail Execution (WPRE). This is a series of third party merchandising companies that contract with WAG to do the resets WAG dont want to pay their employees to do.

WPRE reps travel to multiple locations, this can sometimes be up to 10 stores within 30 mi in one week. Despite that work in WAG since they are not directly employed by them they are not provided with any protection, nor do most companies provide anything to their reps. WPRE reps are also part time, so we are not given any benefits such as paid time off, sick leave or healthcare, and if we decide to take a leave of absence our jobs are not guaranteed.

So next time you see someone stocking, realize they could have been anywhere, have no idea what we've been exposed to, and we are afraid for our safety.

Well f— those companies. Look into getting fired or quit so you can collect the crazy unemployment benefits from the new bill. The bill is paying an additional $600 on top of whatever your state unemployment benefits would be. That means you would easily make more unemployed than employed. Look at how your state handles these claims for more information. While you are unemployed try to find a better job than this garbage.
