Thread regarding Neiman Marcus Group layoffs

Neiman Marcus is for the top 1%

Neiman’s is totally out of reach for most people, but if you’re a multi- millionaire than $2,000 for some shoes is like someone making $80,000 a year buying $75 pair of shoes, just because you can’t afford something does not make it overpriced. The same thing with cars, $100,000 for a car is out of reach for most if you can’t afford the monthly payments.

@Anonymous you are exactly right. NM services the luxury segment. That segment consists of luxury designer brands that cost more than what 99% can afford. Chanel, Celine, Hermes, etc serve the ultra rich. They have no problem buying a $30-40K handbag where the average 99% can barely afford a $100 bag. There are many very rich people out there who have the funds to buy anything they want at any price. When you have $millions or $billions, you too would buy designer brand wear as you want the better cut, the exquisite unique designs and the opportunity to brag. After all, what's the point of having $millions or $billions if you don't spend the money. You can't take the money to your grave.
