I don’t understand why the company continues to say they are essential during this time as of April 3 it was announced that all home furnishing stores and furniture stores to close and yet they keep saying they will still be open and still have face to face contact with customers and deliver merchandise to them to me it seems that they don’t care bout nothing other than money

You must work at rac, and not in a store.
Maybe you should read how they are operating and helping people get laptops or computers so they can work from home.
There is probably some ding dong at rac saying, now is the time to hire some hypos. Lol! Who wants to work there?
Rac does not care, it is obviious. They say you can stay home and come back to work "if" they have a job for you. If, why if? That is thrown in there to scare coworkers into staying at wirk. All of the posts on this site will be remain forever, history will remember the Companies that helped or hurt customers and coworkers during this time of GREAT need. Rac will not be one that helped.
The alternate is furlough? If you are uncomfortable doing what's being asked you have options. For the most part everything that's been put in place makes complete sense. Exposure is virtually non-existent and on the coworkers terms.
Cabelas/Bass Pro salary employees cut top tier 20% Of pay GM down to managers 7-15%. Right now hourly employees are safe but no raises, bonuses or cash incentives at all. other companies are paying more and giving bonuses and Bass is stealing money from it's own employees?
