I work in Aberdeen and the girls in our HR are brilliant. Can’t fault our team, but unfortunately after what I have seen from their boss I will now not trust anything that comes from that department. Sorry ladies, cause I know you really do try your best.

Term HR is a joke in DQ, the lady in Aberdeen will not try to save her job even whole plant shuts.

I was left with the impression that the HR guy was only sorry for himself, that he was having to make an apology, there was a lack of sincerity. I find it hard to see how he can work with the HR department in Aberdeen have labeled the work force collectively the way he has.

Having first heard of the video during the Town Hall Q&A in March, I’ll be honest I never really paid it much attention as it was about the Aberdeen facility, and if I’m being really truthful I don’t care what happens in Aberdeen.

A lot of guys at the facility have seen the video and were pleased that there were 200 jobs going as this would help save jobs here. I didn’t watch the video as I have other concerns to worry about right now.

At this weeks COVID-19 presentation, Blake stated that he wanted to address operational issues at the end of the Dr’s presentation.

When the time come, it was about the damn video again. Having never seen the video I decided it was time I did. Having now seen the video several times, I’m appalled by both Jeff and Mahesh, two of the top people within the Organization, your conduct does not befit the positions you are in and for Mahesh to be in Human Relations as well just about chokes me. Both looked very uncomfortable as they appolgized.

Jeff was first up and went on to explain about his meaning of lowest commodity in terms of business and in preparing for the next days Town Hall meeting. Now I’ve been around a few ranches in my time and I don’t need to see it or smell it, I know when there’s b—s— in the room. Jeff boy, you come across like you were some kind of GI Joe making an excuse for turning up late for duty. As for Mahesh, you couldn’t even put your face to the camera.

You both tried to pass this off like you had just been caught for stealing candy. You have brought great embarrassment to Dril-Quip and how you have not been relieved of your positions is probably only down to the weakness of Blake. How people like you acted and expect to come out of this without any repercussions beats the hell out of me and a lot of other guys.

If you trash talk Aberdeen, what you say about us?

How dare you sit in the safety of your home and state, “this has been the worst Week of my career”. You think we’ve got it good out there day in day out?
You total douchebag.

Kudos to the person that intercepted and shared this video. What I find amazing is why didn't they use just a simple telephone call ? There were only three persons and they obviously knew each others voices. Apparently an easily hacked system like Zoom or Skype was chosen. What a stupid decision.

I too am still waiting to see this public apology. I don't think it should be Blake doing it either as it was not him that made the comments. The other two should not be allowed to hide behind Blake. To be perfectly honest that two have done some serious damage to DQ reputation and an apology is not enough. The board should be demanding the resign. I think if Blake does not do this it will becoming damaging form him also.

I fail to see where BLAKE was the one to say anything inappropriate in the video. He is not a saint, but the guy does have a heart bigger than many executives in corporate america. Blake is trying to save as many jobs as possible, but he does have to justify it to the board one way or another. No.. I'm not drinking the kool-aid... I see the situation for the reality that it is. Perhaps some of you could benefit from using your brain rather than slamming out gibberish behind the cloaks of your keyboard.

Apparently Blake has made an apology, so it’s ok now, all is forgiven, we will go back to worshiping the ground you walk on.

HA, there ya go. Do you need anymore proof of what they think of you now?
Let that p.o.s. explain his way out of this one. We are whiners and they are sitting comfortably at home.
Disgrace....

Truly shocking attitude by senior management, first people to go should be that three clowns. How can they hope to lead a company after showing this attitude, they should step down from their respective positions

To Blake.
We are all under horrendous pressure just now. We continue to work with the ever increasing threat of COVID constantly hanging over our heads and now we get this video thrown in our face.
Disappointment doesn’t come close. I am ashamed to be part of this.
We deserve better. We deserve an explanation.

See how they react to this. Customers won’t be happy, they will want some sort of comment by the board on this. Watch the head of a HR sh–e his pants.

oh my god... just watched it...........really shocking.............how can they say this in public. DQE always made good money to DQ... now they don't need it... its a shame on DQI. I lost all respect for the management. Blake, Jeff and the other guy should resign and leave immediately.
