Thread regarding Occidental Petroleum Corp. layoffs

No Communication

Why can’t OXY management understand that open communication is a key component to success?

OB out, RP replaces CB and not a single email announcement or chain of command notification.

This has got to be one of the top reasons the acquisition failed.

The list is long but FFS...Amateurs.

Typical Oxy. Run while you can. Oxy was great, but VH and EC destroyed the culture there.

They don't outsource IR. Maybe something they should explore though.

It is shame that you find out your own company's news from others who do not work for Oxy. Does OXY outsource the Investor Relation group? APC used to send out emails on upper management changes and quarterly reports when they announce whether the news is bad or good. But there is no communication at OXY. I feel like we are walking through the valley of shadow of death. Open Communication please!

This is right along the lines of what APC did before they announced our sale to Chevron. CoC document, CEO and SVP severance changes and additional people added up top too. Hmm.....

OP, you must be LAPC. Open communication has never been one of our core values. This is nothing new, and is just the way Oxy rolls. Get used to it. Roll Tide.

We don't want you worrying about it. Get back to work, minion. Wash your hands.
