Thread regarding Trane Inc. layoffs

The first round of post Ingersoll Rand spinoff layoffs have started

As some of you may know, the company where I (used to) work (Trane Technologies) announced on 2nd March 2020 the "successful spin-off of its industrial segment" and the "beginning of its journey as a pure-play climate innovation company".

A lesser known fact is that exactly a month later, likely a result of its "simpler organizational model ... to enhance its regional go-to-market capabilities", the first round of layoffs started.

My last day at TT will be 30th April 2020 and I will be officially unemployed on Labour day. How ironic is that?
