24 year DSM here, let go. Not furloughed, not demoted, not offered anything other than severance. It could be worse I guess? Makes me think hard about my future. I'm eligible for rehire but not sure if, after 24 years, they realize the integral relationships we, as salespeople and management, have with the customer base that feeds their bottom line. At this point, not sure if they care. Looking for something else is almost unimaginable. I bled blue for a long time. To try to bleed any other color just wouldn't fit what I believed in for all that time. Maybe that's all it was....a belief that didn't ring true.
Hope is right...let's hope.
Sorry to see this, and yes, we have very little customers to sell to right now or that our needing our services overall. Let's all hope all of this ends soon and there'll be a re-hiring boom.
