Ryder furloughed a large number of corporate headquarters staff this week. Furloughs will be without pay and will last at least several months according to Ryder. Ryder also indicated that employees may not have jobs after this furlough (no "guarantees"). Despite promises to field staff last month that they would still be paid and their jobs safe, this does not bode well for Ryder staff nationwide.

Ryder on the UK have closed 14 put of 19 depots and made around 500 staff redundant the way this company has used the government furlough scheme to wind down depots and then still make staff redundant is disgusting and leaves a bitter taste in the mouth I wished I had never agreed to join them I left a good company with promises of benefits to join them and it was all pipe dreams and lies
April 3rd seems like a pretty significant day, especially in the stock market. I get the corona virus is a factor in a lot of companies, but is there any lawsuits against the company that could be affecting people from getting back to work?
So far as of 4/3/20 1 service island employee and 1 tech was furloughed and told to take their toolboxes with them, it's slow too, not sure how long the rest of us will be working
Was personally given a 90 day furlough at a local branch...so it’s not just corporate office. Gotta love when you give 5 years to company and you get furlough, even though you make less hourly than nearly entire branch
Ryder also furloughed a bunch of techs and fuel Island employees. I have hear nothing about the CEO taking a pay cut. Our stocks have dropped for months, they have made a lot of bad investments into new areas and not follow through before investing in another. The CEO has squandered too much money and lays off employees.
An HR representative will be reaching out to you directly to address your concerns.
How many employees were affected?
