Yes, wife was laid off from corp office.. during pandemic wfh they scheduled her to drive 40 minutes downtown for a layoff in-person (seriously?). She chose to focus on her own business which actually boomed during the pandemic..shes not missing the rat race..

I have to laugh, bitterly, at those who are calling the layoffs fake news.

I wonder who you are.

After so many years working for this company I was LET GO due to the corona virus, losing my health insurance, life and all else. I just have to say you are fake news.

Why lie?

It's obvious there were layoffs.

Stop with the false propaganda

Anyone who is lying about layoffs at U-haul is either in the department of social media or public relations and are LYING. which is of course their job. Three were many elder employees let go with no severance or benefits simply to pay for joe's wife Rolls Royce each year.

After decades at U-Haul I was let go due to the corona virus so yes it is true. I feel it is my age and my health issues that I was let go with little options left in life.

Call the CEO on his personal cell and ask him if there were layoffs? Not sure if this correct number but he puts it on the internet so U-Haul customer's can call him.

I used to work there, myself and 5 other employees from my department were laid off. They picked a good time do it if you just want unemployment. Didn't work there for like 20 years or anything but it's clearly cost cutting because of CV. Seniority means nothing. Take the highest paid employeess and lay them off so you have to lay off less people. Wasn't treated really good by specific department manager but it still s—s.

I work at Uhauls corporate office and we just had another round of layoffs. The first time made sense but as an employee that works my butt of for this company, I don't think people like me should have to worry about layoffs, but I am. I understand our transactions are down due to COVID, but this is starting to feel like a malicious attempt to cut costs. My work load has significantly increased due to the huge loss of staff, I'm not even expecting a raise sadly, it seems our executive leaders are covering their own butts and leaving everyone else to hope they have a job in the morning, this is a great company, but how they have been treating their staff these last 2 months, I can't even believe this is U-Haul.

Also work at UHAUL Corp office in downtown Phoenix. There were layoffs. Anyone telling you otherwise is lying or has false information. I personally know many people let go. If you are so sure email JT or one of the brothers.

Fake news for sure. Who's trying to hurt U-Haul by posting this?

Confirmed, work at U-Haul. I've heard it's somewhere around this number, while the field only has about 15k employees to begin with. This includes many people in the field (the majority), and also some people in the corporate towers (I don't have an estimate of how many laid off from headquarters, but there's over 2,000 people employed here, so I'd guess at least 300-600).

It appears they've eliminated more than $200 million per year just in estimated payroll costs, not to mention healthcare costs.
