A bankrupt company is not going to pay non essentials to stay home. Once your vacation or sick time is exhausted, you will not see them pay. And it isnt wise to ask for hazard pay when so many are losing jobs. Thats a great way to find out just how essential your job is. I highly doubt theynw0uld hesitate to make an example of someone who fails to show to work. If you dont have hazard pay in your contract....you have no legal standing to expect it. Especially with a company as badly off financially as frontier

SUSPEND non essential work, offer paid TIME OFF to enforce lockdown to tackle Coronovairus
Paid time off to enforce state wide lockdowns to tackle Coronavirus outbreak. Suspend all non essential work including new installs, upgrades, change orders and removals. Only essential work good to NID. No forced overtime at the end of day. Premium pay for those who willing to risk. Provide PPE for those who are at the front line.
Why is this important?
Suspending non-essential work and offering paid time off, during this pandemic of the coronavirus is crucial. The virus itself is airborne, and although washing your hands frequently, and disinfecting is helpful, that won’t prevent the spread of said virus. Both customers AND technicians are at risk of catching and spreading the virus. At this point in time, there is no way to know who has the coronavirus, due to the limited number of tests. Suspending all non-essential work, until further notice, WHILE continuing to pay both hourly, and salary workers, would be beneficial to both customers & workers.
By now, almost all of our service areas are exposed to group of people who are already diagnosed, quarantined or in self isolation due to fast spreading Virus. This leaves most Techs exposed. While Frontier have put new policies into play, that doesn’t mitigate the entire risk of catching the virus.
Technicians and Customers can display no symptoms, while still being able to transmit the virus to others. Instead of waiting until a technician has been exposed or catch the virus, suspending non-essential work and offering paid time off would prevent anyone from getting the virus. At this current time, Technicians are on the frontlines, potentially being exposed and spreading the virus, unknowingly.
The moral thing to do, would be to suspend non-essential work, while paying partners, until there is a grip on the virus.
