Thread regarding Sysco Corp. layoffs

When it comes to money and profits, hardworking employees get hit the most

When a resession or a hard time hits big companies like Sysco the first thing in their mind is "My shareholders". Men and women stay loyal to this company for 30+ years providing for their families and staying stable. When it comes to them all the company cares about is public views, stock price, and turning a profit while workers are being laid off and not being able to meet their bills monthly. When your CEO makes over 8 mil dollars collectively on an annual basis, your first instinct is to step on the middle-class workers? It is actions like these of greed and harshness that the public eye needs to see. While they are donating food to the community, workers are being told to stay home. A company like this deserves no praise for any "righteous" actions when they can't even take care of their own people.

Might as well donate instead of throwing in the trash. Pawn it off as goodwill.

Sad to say even donations are due to nearing expiration dates on most inventory items and for tax deduction purposes
Financial incentives not social responsibility

Terrible place to work. The employees are treated as a number and have to put up with harsh work demands with little to no relief. Company only cares about the products on the truck and getting them delivered regardless of the conditions the drivers have to deal with. Modern day slave labor at it’s finest......
