For those that were laid off, be curious to see if you like share your feedback.
Well. No surprise for me since all this happened. Was laid off officially last week.
And I am so GLAD it happened! It was not a good experience and people were just not anything I would say I was proud or had honor in working with but each company has their own personality so I guess I just did not fit in. Without saying specifics, it had several learning experiences I am glad to have become aware of when I started with the company. Was just THANKFUL for a paycheck at the end of the day.
I understand those that are laid off might not feel the same. On my end I am very fortunate that it happened. Glad I stuck around for the last few months to get the severance, 2 month COBRA coverage, and about 2.5 weeks of pay without doing any work, and state unemployment. On top of the federal stimulus benefits to hopefully kick in the next few weeks (lump sum and unemployment).
And I am enjoying the peace and quite that everyone is ""forced"" to endure during the sad health condition of our world. I can be patient until things get more social but really enjoying the no traffic/less pollution and especially how quite it is in the mornings and most time of the day. With time with wife and kids makes it like a nice vacation.
