Thread regarding Deloitte Consulting layoffs

Can our business model survive without ability to fly?

Honestly, I doubt it (on the consulting side). There are some things you can do remotely, but I think clients will have hard time shelling out big bucks if you cannot be present. I may be paranoid, but I do not see this resolving in 10 weeks and the firm cannot keep so many people on the bench.

I may be exaggerating but that's my current evaluation of the situation.

Let's be honest, clients will be reevaluating every aspect of their budgets and will be scrutinizing discretionary services (like what we provide), and good chance many will belt tightening ie reducing or eliminating our services

Let’s be honest, we can do our work anywhere, F2F is a waste of money for our clients and has been for years.
