Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

When you make $21 million a year it is not too much of a burden to give up half of it.

Saw this from another users comment. GE CEO makes $21 million a year. Meanwhile, those of us making less than $70k a year will soon be laid off and struggling to find a job in this economic crisis. For all of you who have families to feed or college debt, I'm praying they rethink their threat to layoff 10% of aviation.

Feeling down with the stress of this disease and all those suffering from it, on top of the stress of job security

LC may wear a different color clown suit but I'm pretty positive, he doesn't want to go down in history as the guy who was in charge when GE went fully under. So if it gets that bad I think there will either be a "fire sale" of al things GE that have any value, or a sudden pass off of control to some gullible person who will be fooled into riding this all the way to the end with the rest of us poor b–tards!!

So, the GE corporate culture is evil, what else is new? As if any other big American corporations are any different. Look at Boeing for example, or at the man in the white house. The problem is much bigger than just the GE.

First freeze salaries for all, then lay off 10% but management still keeps their bonuses. Way to go team!

JW started GE down this path 30+ years ago. Now the bill has come due at a very bad time. Don’t kid yourself into thinking LC is any different. He just wears a different colored clown suit. He’s going to do everything within his power to reach his numbers, And the quickest way to do that is to chop heads. “Never waist a good crisis”. Good luck'.

Don't fool yourself. GE is probably thinking how many will die so they do NOT have to pay any pension! These companies do not care for their employee's. They say they do but it is all a smoke screen...

Im sure his life is centered around 21 million...so that donation is felt proportionately. Lets see you give up 50 percent of your 100k. Not so easy is it?

GE will use this to their benefit. The laws of survival demand it. Everything is on the table and the goal has never changed. The only question is will this virus make it quicker and easier to reach that goal with less cost? Nobody is safe regardless of this virus or not. There is a much bigger plan. Consider the current events a huge warning that you should be ready for the worst outcome for yourself. Such as your believed “guarantees” become “sorries” and I.O.U.s”.

Management is using this crisis to trim the fat and prune the dead branches while stating the Party line, "We are doing this for the health of the business. These were unseen circumstances and now we have to address the issues."

That used to be the normal GE. Get used to it and find another place that actually notices talent over posers. I know this isn't helping you. But sometimes you got to rant to feel better for a second.
