There has been no information given out as to what next 2 weeks look like. management and store teams left in the dark. It’s silent out there. People need to figure out if they going to be able to get paid or use vacation
time. Grateful teams were paid for 2 weeks but what do we do next?????

50 people let go in Hong Kong office Thursday. More layoffs must be coming for Dallas office. Anyone know anything?
I agree itslayofftime with your post. I know several employees at 901 who agree with us too. If you cut Greg, Darren, Steve, Rob, and half of the current VPs you could save every single employee in this crisis. True story. Look up their salaries.
Can we only imagine what a month will bring as we reevaluate? Be prepared! Maybe ELT will finally do some real work (but highly unlikely). Since all of us workers will be gone they will need something to show for with their brilliant decisions. I feel sorry for Kosta. He has a bunch of self serving, dumb, lazy, not creative, non entrepreneurial executives on his leadership team. If he wants to save the company, furlough the fat cats at the top that have made no gains or for that matter any headway in getting us out of this mess. It just gets worse. We need real leaders that produce tangible results. Leaders that make rain. Not loosers from other failing companies that jumped ship to save their own butts. Wake up! Let’s face it. Our leaders are rated NI.
It was frustrating to learn interns are going to keep working 3 days a week and get paid while coworkers were being furloughed! And for this to be discussed in our Q&A meeting in front of those being furloughed!
I disagree. This was a terrible process. No one knew what the heck was going on. This company has completely lost its mojo.
Absolutely agree with the person who explained the process (except, some of the decisions made by some of the directors/VPs are suspect at best. Not every person on our team got a fair shake).
Bottom line, it is a very sad day for Fossil family. It is time to update your resume and apply to anything else you can do. This is most likely the end.
Thanks for the update "ihopethishelpsyou". Pretty sure my last day will be today. Good luck to Fossil. Good luck to those staying and leaving.
Brief info was given 2pm of 3/26. Internal leadership was informed of department specific, going-forward info soon after. After that, communication to the rest of team is discretion of the Director of that department’s. Everyone should know their future by end-of-day 3/27 due to all things going into effect by next Monday 3/30.
In light of this, please know, that as many, many ways to reduce costs and budgets are being made to keep all of the bodies that we have left: Collateral, third-party partners, & others like this are being discontinued until further notice. I’ve seen this first-hand in my own department from my leadership.
However, update your resumé with accomplishments, facts, & strengths (You should be doing this all the time anyway); File for unemployment as soon as you can; adjust personal budgets and look at ways to not spend for unnecessary things over the next month or two; AND make sure you personally protect yourself and your family/friends against COVID-19.
If you have more questions, respond. I’m sure myself & other family in this company will gladly provide you with support.
It went public today. All current employees already know what is going on.
When is the information going public?
Does anyone know if we are laying off sales teams?
Everyone just got informed today. All are working reduced hours and reduced pay, several furloughed. This company is dead.
