So I’m out in California. A fellow construction tech at AT&T ( and my neighbor) showed me an addendum to their contract with CWA. Any tech who may potentially come in contact with the public shall be compensated at an hourly rate that commences blah blah blah. Bottomm line. They’re paying the outside techs an extra $8.00 per hour. Wow. I couldn’t believe it. What’s up with Frontier? Guess weren’t not worth it. Or the union is hiding. Probably both.

Frontier purchased many telco area and their COE who have now quick did not even give it a thought to see the way the market was heading. They also did not think technical support of the technicians was needed. To have only a tier 2/3 tech support in Texas is ridiculous. I talked to a tier 3 manager in CT and when he asked about discussing how they deal with issues prior to the Frontier purchase of the state he was told Frontier does not give local support only via phone to Texas. Any wonder why customers are leaving for any other provider they can find. Cable companies are very costly but they respond immediately to customer complaints. Glad they made me retire in 2017
weeks into the covid -19 pandemic and still being told maybe protective gear next week.front-line techs have tested positive already.Get the jobs completed or face disciplinary actions.techs must be expendable. Just faceless numbers on a spread sheet.
Verizon actually makes a profit though
Verizon is paying hazard pay also.
If it wasn't for the techs your butt would be out of a job. Actually ask upper management why they let the company fail.
Techs are complaining again. Their lack of work ethic led to the demise of this company. Sickening that they expect anything at this point.
Good time to apply to att
nasty frontier........dirty buffalo
They are not bankrupt, they just sold the Northwest. Do you think Bernie is foregoing his income?
Hey I’m here til they close the doors or lay me off. I’ve heard both sides of the argument. I’ve heard, be glad you have a job ( and I am thankful) and I’ve heard, well if you don’t like it you can leave. So to me, what ever happens happens. I was looking for a job when I found this one.
Same for business techs here. While Frontier dispenses expired hand sanitizer and no ppe...but expects frontline techs to expose themselves to a pandemic....but call your boss for push back.
Your employer is bankrupt. You’ll be lucky to still have a job by Christmas... hazard pay? Right...
