Anyone else confused about unemployment in Georgia? I was told to file my own claim after separation but now I’m not able to claim as they state my employer filed a claim. Any news on this? Are employers filing for terminated employees now?

I just received an email from Enterprise HR stating that they are not filing for terminated employees any longer and to file your own claim. Start your own claim and make sure to claim all your weeks unless you get severance. Do not claim any weeks you got paid a severance check.
I got red message but didn't get unemployment. Like called automated number but company didn't certify and it wouldn't let me certify
They are required to file for you per the covid rules or they get stuck paying the cost of unemployment. If they filed you will not need to claim weekly benefits as it will give you a message in red saying so. I had to claim the first week in ga since they did not tell us they were filing and then got the notice they had filed. I would still make sure you claim weekly benefits until you get the red message online.
Actually that good thing. If u filed your own claim it would be very long process. GA has law employers have to do partial claim and process is much faster.
So only thing got to do is certify every week
