Ford needs to fire Bill Ford, Hackett and Farley, spend the millions of dollars we are wasting on them begging Mary Barra to come fix this mess of a company. I believe she could do it.

@1eud+14WfwT51 are you daft? This view of diversity being white male vs. everybody is so narrow and misrepresented from a global perspective. The replied point is, Toyota is a Japanese owned global company. Just because Japanese American is a minority in the United States does not give Toyota a pass when it is a global company. In matter a fact, if you want to talk race on a global level, broad definition whites are a minority and broad definition Asians are the majority. Toyota does not have true leadership which represents all the countries they do business in. This is not just whites, but also blacks, indians, etc. that do not have real leadership opportunity at Toyota. But since your logic is the way it is, I doubt you will blink an eye at this rebuttal. White males never did anything good for anyone yada yada yada.

Uh, last time I checked, Asians are considered people of color, so I'm pretty sure a company with lots of Asians in high level positions should be applauded for it's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

The argument of 12 white guys being diverse doesn’t hold true at Ford as the Ford gene pool is primarily SE michigan born and raised, mommy and daddy worked for big 3. That is not diverse, no matter skin color or chromosomes. The SE michigan group think and hubris has allowed Toyota, Honda, Etc to become industry leaders. Ford shot themselves in the foot, repeatedly, and is still doing it. Visit portions of USA that use trucks as trucks. Notice that Ford F-150 is no longer the truck of choice. Ask why before it is too late for Ford.

Diversity of physical attributes is shallow. Diversity of ideas and getting out of group think is better for any company. Diversity Officers are a joke.

This article is a joke. Toyota is not a diverse company when it comes to leadership. It is ran by Japanese salary men in suits. If there is local leadership in the US it is a puppet position with no autonomy. If you are not Japanese/male, your upward mobility for the "real" Toyota is limited. Is this one of these awards where you have to bribe your way onto the list?

Ford has been rapidly advancing minorities for a number of years. Even in SRD they replaced older white leaders with younger minorities and more females.
