Starlink will destroy all competitors in rural WV once it’s up and running.

For WV there is a lot of competition in some areas (eastern panhandle) Comcast has a Huge presents there. There are some locations (big developments) where there is no competition at all and would qualify for CAF funding but they wont apply for it.

For a rural area like WV it would require significant ACAM or CAF funding. Removing union obstructions. Its highly doubtful these rural areas have significant if any competition from any facilities based providers. Satellite perhaps. Some distributed split for PON or optical tap could reduce costs, but it will still require govt funding. I dont see the federal govt giving frontier much based on their historical performance in upgrading their plant. WV will likely be sold by the debtors in charge.
