Does anyone really believe we’ll return to work on June first? I know that if my manager tells me to go to the office I will say hell no! I have heard nightmare stories about what has been happening at offshore in GoM.

Say no and you just voluntarily quit.
That latest word is: Starting July 1st, BP will have ~10% of their office staff back in the office as part of Phase 1. My personal opinion is that we won't have 100% of office personnel back in the office before the end of 2020.
My cousin told me that Shell Houston office is on track to open June 1st for about 15% of its employees. But with the pronouncements from all the tech and insurance companies announcing WFH until the end of the year, I really wonder if BP and the other oil companies will really order their employees back in the office so soon.
