Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Agency layoffs in near future????

Now that agency has a reduction in pay, what’s next? I’d rather have a heads up. My experience has been agency is the first to go in a recession. Has anyone heard of this happening?

Agency costs Ford less money than Ford Salary. So no its not necessarily true that more Agency will be cut then Salary. Agency is however easier to eliminate than Salary.

Agency is better protected then salary, then will cut the most experienced, accomplished employees with a pension before anyone else.

Ford employees with the retirement plan will be tossed out before agency.

I wouldn’t worry too much about agency reductions. Years ago Ford used agency resources as a buffer to cut costs in an economic downturn but from my experience the last few cuts have hit Ford employees more heavily than agency.
