Thread regarding Ricoh layoffs

VSIP again?

Heard an interesting rumor. Come September, Ricoh is looking to do another VSIP. Anyone else heard this?

3rd round of VSIP sent out June 1st. If you received the offer, you have until June 30 to accept or decline the VSIP. If you accept the offer, you can be let go as early as July 31, 2020 or as late as Oct 31, 2020. Yes, 2020, not 2021.

FYI: Due to different labor laws in CA, we have until end of Oct to take our 7 weeks of furlough. Basically, we're working 3 weeks out of the month until Oct.

I agree with the last response. With printing volumes going down year after year, I think it's inevitable that copier companies will all have to downsize. I plan on taking the deal.

I believe an email went out around the first of the month. 55 and older. Probably should think about it if you received the email. Highly unlikely that things will be as they were before covid-19. Customers will require less machines because of work from home and downsizing. Ricoh needs to downsize.

Heard it was coming sooner than that.
