This is the dumbest most bizarre email I think I have received in my 35 year career in this industry.
The ONLY reason they are doing this is the APC COC.
Otherwise they would simply go and whack a bunch of people and be done with this.
But it’s too expensive to lay-off legacy APC... and inherently unfair to lay-off only legacy OXY employees.

They have no money for CoC. Too many people took it than what Anadarko originally thought would and so it's all gone. Oxy is now on the hook for all the cost going forward.
Agree. These clowns will do anything possible to keep from paying L-APC what we are owed.
Starting August 9 everyone should expect to get rogered good and hard as they do everything they can to get us to quit voluntarily. Expect forced relocations, extreme pay and benefits cuts, etc. These people on 31 have no soul.
