Farmers Insurance just announced all employees nationwide are to work from home until the end of the year. More and more large companies are making these proclamations.
Will Shell and other energy companies follow suit?

Getting closer so the time it looks like. At least in the US
XOM already has managers with closed offices back in the office as of May 4. On May 18 25% of the workplace is expected to be in the office and then June 1 for phase 3. They aren’t letting anyone stay home and sent some nasty FAQs about how it isn’t their concern but the employees when it comes to childcare, high risk individuals and transportation to work ( due to carpools still being closed in Houston) they basically told employees to find a way to get to the office on their expected day
Guarantee you XOM gives no flips on whether they are first to go back or not. They do what they think is best for the corporation and don't care about optics.
Ruthless, but effective (most of the time).
Twitter just announced WFH forever today. No "white collar" Fortune 50 company wants to be "first" in having their employees return, so it will be interesting to watch if Shell waits for Chevron, Total, Exxon, or BP to go back.
I would not call it work these endless b—s— meetings and everyone feels so entitled and smart. I think this system needed to come to an end with overpaid b—s— talkers, every company will be healthier without overpaid middle management hahaha
Man..i miss going to work. Loved getting my morning coffee from the Starbucks at Woodcreek, debating if I should get a muffin, then slowly sipping it while i joined my conference calls.
Too far into the future! Nobody even sure if they will have a job by the end of June.
