Thread regarding Occidental Petroleum Corp. layoffs

Management position at a discount rate...

I bet many of these managers are unhappy themselves with the paycut. They are paid at a discounted rate, compared to their peers in the industry. And yet they have to pretend they are okay with that and at the same time convince others to stay positive.

30% discount would bring them down to less than a big percentage of technical folks in other companies.

On top of that, these managers and directors are disliked by so many others, Those that took advantage of others and or abused their power in the past probably are worried about their own safety considering the anger and frustration that so many have during these times,

30% less pay for more risk.

LAPC- You work for OXY now. Even if you don’t give a F about OXY you are still getting a paycheck. It is unethical for you to give as little effort in the meantime, God is watching you, Karma will bite you. So do your best until you leave the company.

A lot of them recognize that they have no where else to go. No one else would hire them at their position or payscale as listing a single skill on a resume doesn't get one very far while interviewing; puckering up one's lips and gluing it to the a– of a superior.

You can tell the managers are scared and discouraged the amount of emails I used to received has dwindled to only necessary communication. I actually love this considering the current situation. They all know bonus if any will be $hit next year and raises will be non existenant so why try...

I give zero f@€k$ about that they think... the EC and BOD and managers should be in jail for what they’ve done to destroy this company and even more so what they’ve done to the shareholders
