The problem is they can’t rehire anyone until the allotted time for their severance is up so 8 weeks, can’t rehire til July. 26 weeks can’t rehire til almost November etc... From everything I’ve been reading oil won’t start hiring again til the late fall and even that is optimistic. Assume you won’t be brought back and move on to another company. That’s what my plan is currently.

Just a hunch and I'll be up front that I don't know sh–, but I think they cut too deep and will be hiring next year. The stock has made panic bottom at 4.25 on March 18 which is 50% of the book value. Management made the cut likewise on extreme pessimism. The stock has since recovered and looking like on it's on its way back to 20. Once the stock recovers, management will have no choice but to re-hire. Good luck to all.

You people act like oil will never be drilled again. We have about 40,000 employees now. We aren’t losing another 10,000. There is still oil being drilled just not in North American land as much. Which this company was too heavy leveraged anyways. So we leaned that part of the company out like we should have. This is still a sinking ship company though if they don’t diversify

If we laid off another 10,000 people that would be an almost 50% cut to our workforce from January. That isn’t gonna happen. We might get rid of another 1,000 and even that is iffy. Quit posting stupid stuff

HR reductions mostly done on Tuesday which means no more layoffs. Typically HR is left to last

This is possible, way worse than 15 &16, unbelievable all the equipment being stacked, they cut a fence using land never before used before, maybe in a year it will come back, sure not seeing it this year, they will probably widel people until some recovery shows up.
