Thread regarding Occidental Petroleum Corp. layoffs

Cronies did not get salary cuts, they are double dipping !!!

Check our all the cronies from Oxy who we thought left or were not give top position in the recent minor shake up on the board are double dipping. These guys orchestrated salary cuts to employees , technically these people did not get any cut at all

@slk
I agree on the Hawaiian Shirt Clown’s degree and CSM is a great school, I visited there several time.

I had contact with GV several times in the past few years before taking VSP and I was surprised to learn he actually had an engineering degree. Doesn’t seem that he ever used his degree wisely. My 1st thought was that he had a degree in PR, mostly used for BS

Major oil companies used to exclusively hire only chemical engineering degrees.

@wfu+14RkXbbO While I think GV is an id–t, Colorado School of Mines is definitely a real engineering degree.

But yes, otherwise it is a set of bean counters.

OP

Nice reference!

Bios of Oxy / ex-Oxy(?) cronies on WES BOD illuminate why Oxy was in trouble before APC and why the merger was ridiculous.

GV (aka Hawaiian Shirt Clown): BS in Chemical & Process Engineering from Colorado School of Mines. Nice school, not a real engineering degree.

Micheal P. Ure (one of the APC M&A initiators): Bachelor Accounting (school) then MBA Univ of Chicago.

Oscar K. Brown (one of the APC M&A initiators): Bachelor of Business Accounting, Finance & Marketing, UT Austin.

Peter J. Bennett (#MrBlueSkies and big f*bber about Permian UC wells): Bachelor of Business Accounting LSU then MBA
Pepperdine Univ.

Commonality of all of them? All were/are big self- promoters with accounting, finance and marketing backgrounds. Just like the Enron dudes in 2001, they thought they would get away with their big l* es to enrich themselves. And they’re still at it!

If you look at the Western Midstream page, you will see Hawaiian Shirt Man is now the 'Chairman of the Board'. He had a hand in the demise of Occidental Petroleum?

English enough for you?
