So, I was contacted by a recruiter for a Scrum Master Position at Sabre -mmmmm. Now this did not seem right but as far as I can tell, it was a genuine contract position being offered. It is through the Indian company that does a lot of recruiting for Sabre. The position is based at HDQ. Just find it very odd considering the current climate at Sabre

It's not any big conspiracy. It's just the TPF Offload work that Google is paying for.
@gsh+14RhB03y Sad to say we are qualified for these TPF offload positions. I know I am and I am sure there are others.
These roles specifically are mostly around TPF offload right now roughly 10-15 spots.
Its because they are about to contract out most of IT and these vendors whom have said they have the staff to meet those expectations, are now playing catch-up.
This leadership team is very transparent about what the do and dont think is strategic.
They dont think Software Development is strategic and they want to outsource it. If you dont believe that, then you havent really been listening and watching. Non Strategic stuff will be outsourced, stuff they see as strategic wont be (MSM, sales, etc). Its sorta the "Pizza Hut" model. We dont care about the pizza itself, we just care about marketing it. Pizza Hut hasnt been able to find a way to stop sales declines for decades. Why ? cause its about the pizza stupid ! Not about the gimmicks. Different product here, but same strategy approach. If you are a talented software person this is not where you want to be. The culture is only going to get worse until drastic c-level AND Board level changes are made.
I saw another position for technical ba at Sabre. Look at NIIT it is a contractor position at Southlake. It was posted as a new one yesterday.
