Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

Clean up this board

Can we get some informative posts about the info we need as employees? Where and when layoffs are happening, important emails and policy changes that affect all of us, etc.

  1. No one cares about your personal politics
  2. No one cares if your pro or anti union( that ship has sailed)
  3. No one cares about your stupid shop feuds or if your a super tech and everyone else is lazy

Side note: we’re not brain surgeons here, how much better do you think you are at putting a connectors on cable and reading numbers on a meter. Really?

Thank you

Ibew in Nassau was able to save some construction jobs by catching them using contractors . For those of you who don’t think the 1% was worth it thanks for leaving us unprotected.

And...........more nonsense. FYI, yes I have. I am not a FS tech. You missed the point. It was about techs thinking they’re better than other techs when we all do the same job. I am in OSP, but I don’t run around saying I am sooo good at fixing outages and shorts and other guys aren’t, when we all do it. Apologies if you misunderstood.

Let’s see U track an AC short in the middle of a snow storm at 2:00 AM .. so there is a lot more than reading levels on a meter and making a connector ... let’s see you make a connector on a pole in the dark with your safety belt on .. So we may not be brain surgeons .. but we are a unique breed ... so you keep programming the remotes and calling in Bogus SROs ...

Great post. Enough of the nonsense. We need definitive info about who they are targeting and where - so us employees can be ahead of the curve.
