how they laying off guys with the least amount of time in Lodi and Oakland depots when there isn't anything that states seniority doesn't get touched in the contract.
Its time to smear this all over social media. Very sad kept seniority with all types of write ups, shame on them for breaking contractual lies, shame on ibew looking out for their own interests.

I’m not sure you’re really in the loop my man. ATS/USA doesn’t matter. If you didn’t sign to ATS you eventually got let go. Even union shops were eventually absorbed into ATS. Plus ATS was quietly folded back into USA over a year ago. It’s just paperwork.

i feel for the guys that lost their jobs, but if you would have never left altice usa, and got a union you would have been good, so do not blame the union look in the mirror you made yourself a contractor, by joining Ats, You knew it was a raw deal, and you signed, Why? scared for what, that measly 2 percent sign on bonus, exactly the same amount, when they took away the holiday bonus, blame yourselves blame your friendly supervisor that persuaded you to join blame your fellow co workers that did not want to join the union once altice took over because they had to pay dues take this as a lesson don’t follow the crowd do whats right for you and your family sometimes you might be alone in that island but if you was wrong at the end you did it your way thats all we can ask for in life make your own decisions do not let other people decide whats best for you and your family.

I'm curious how the "shift bids" will work in my depot. They keep saying it will be by Seniority but there is literally NOTHING in my depots contract about shift bids. "We're going from the bottom up!" Right
The union didn’t lay anybody off. Altice did. No union and I’m pretty sure nobody has a job and contractors are king.
When the Union touts their contracts as good and talks about "real job security" then has guys get laid off, yeah they deserve some hate.
Our contract worked exactly as intended. I’m truly sorry that you lost your job but your anger is misplaced. The company that donated 10m to the community but laid off half its workforce is to blame. Not your union
The IBEW did a c-ap job with the union brothers of Spectrum/time warner employees. They all got replaced.
the sad part is everyone that got "laid off" are hoping they will get called back. We al know Alice. They are not getting called back. Start looking now. We may not be making what we were but I think we'll be happier.
It does not matter what "side" of the proverbial fence you are on here.Whether it CB,OP,SL footprint.Union,non union.FS,OSP,FTTH, whatever.We are all people with beating hearts and families.This entire situation is disheartening.I could care less if i never cliqued with you in the shop,meetings etc.I never want to see anything bad happen,to ANY of my co-workers.We are all integral parts in the machine.Problem is with less "cogs","gears" how is the machine supposed to run properly moving forward?This is not going to last forever,but for some it could not have come at a worse time and has a lasting effect.My heart goes out to each and every one of you.

I’m not sure why the 7 guys took the package , some had seniority so they would not have got the bad shift . Plus the supvs that rode them are gone . Oh well moved me up the seniority chain . Good luck all

I can say our layoffs were supposed to be by seniority. Then they said they couldn't do seniority because of wording in the contract. Senority, conduct, write ups and what not. They were creating a metric for it. The only thing the union did was delay it. 6 guys too the package and saved 6 people being layed off. I'm not sure if what the have left will save them
Thats how it works under every union that i have ever heard of. Why be mad at the Union the company is the one laying people off?
