The problem with the lay
is that lockheed has been treating there people so bad a lot of them won't go back. And the union does nothing it's like we have no union but they get about $100.00 a month out of paychecks for doing nothing.
Welcome to the REAL world of military aviation. You're quarentied the paycheck from last week, that's it.
ALSO- this is military aviation, our primary objective is to get them before they get us. Ironic that you speak about humanity . Your in the wrong line of work
1,400-1,700? That's adorable.
laughs in Boeing
Fkn joke, this company and the union in fort worth is unbelievable! Moving from Florida to here, I cannot believe the sh– they get away with and the union does nothing and isn't even around. I'm actually speechless!
The only reason they would lay off would be if the government canceled or modified contract(s). So if you are a manufacturer and your customer orders 100 widgets, then you hire 25 people to build them. Then catastrophic conditions change the customer's needs and the contract is modified because the customer only needs 50 widgets now. Your orders were cut in half. Your profit was cut in half. But your expenses to produce are the same, unless you cut your workforce to match the reality of the contract cancellation.
So. Did Lockheed lose any contracts or have any contracts modified recently? Is the government still buying in the same quantities?
This is a perfect time for Lockheed to offer a Buy Out for their Senior people. AND NOT WAIT TILL CONTRACT WHICH KEEPS GETTING EXTENTENDED.
If this rumor is true, shameful for such a large company that would hurt its hard working employees. Especially during an unprecedented time in our country. Lockheed will not only be hurting it’s employees but their family’s. Their significant others are probably no longer employed, if they have children they’re out of school trying to figure out how to teach them every day and keep them busy. It’s just sad and multi billion dollar company would crush people the way that they might potential do. I have a feeling they’ve got the money where they don’t have to necessarily have to do this. Unfortunately these large corporations tend only see the numbers not the faces of everyone they will be affecting. Whatever happened to humanity and just caring about people, not about money the bottom line how much more can we make. It’s simply deplorable. I truly hope that Lockheed Martin comes up with a better option for their employees, to keep them working and supporting their families and try to live life through this unpredictable society that were heading toward.
