No way Comcast can sustain its workforce through a 40% drop in revenue. Think about it, they do layoffs every year when things are going great. Going to be bad I’m afraid, especially when no one can afford their cable and Internet bills and stop paying. Sad days ahead.

Should have gone Union
Will be nice to see more and more people cutting the cord and leaving this expensive company. The future is not Cable TV,
We all need to move on to newer and better things. Let the layoffs start ! Bring them on Comcast,
Hope it dips into the big wigs bonus checks- hahahah
Blame your selves for not going union quit your crying B–ches
A new department MES department opened up in Naperville, IL. Comcast went in a laid off a majority of the staff and hired a new crew. Words of advice from the one who stayed. Keep your options open. No security. Several shifts have no work life balance. Miserable.
Lmao why would the cable division be fine?
When they lost subscribers they raised rates under the belief that their remaining customers were so accustomed to cable that they'd stay.
No work and unlimited free time has people motivated to learn how to operate a Roku or use Youtube. The fact that many wireless providers have removed data caps during lockdown no doubt has consumers more comfortable with the idea of ditching cable altogether, especially given the major price hikes of a few years back. Cable is often the #2 or #3 household bill. What's it going to be rent, health insurance, or cable... hmmmm.
Is there any direct sales departments still open ?? It sounds like they wiped it all away
Central division entire direct sales team gone. After 22 years generating millions of dollars of revenue for the company was told bye bye with no remorse.

What division had “top sales teams leadership” let go? Have heard zip-zero about this.
How about call centers and tech support
Top Sales teams leadership all got the ax. Some good people gone, in a very bad job climate. Par for the course I’m afraid. Rumors are 20%-25% reductions across the cable, wifi, and voice teams, focused mainly middle mgmt.
They've furloughed their contractor workforce for now. I'd expect them to be terminated before employees get the ax.
Cable division will be fine.
Hearing Sr. Director and up are getting 20% pay cuts. Likely big cuts in video and non wireless voice teams. Operations and Engineering are gonna get hit hard.
Was this only good for 1 month:

60% cut at NBC Universal is the rumor
Operations and middle management on the cable side
True. Are they hitting the lot?
