NH is just awful. Financial force is all on him after he laid off the program manager and overpaid for the integrator

Oracle up 33% is false positive, due to stock buy backs, not due to innovation.
Does that mean NH goes too? Hopefully. Rose to VP status for no apparent reason.
I recall OR coming in stage and explaining to the internal audience the new high frequency cadence plan relating it to some phone app that was written in two weeks and was a major success.
High frequency cadence never worked from the development point of view, but it would have made no difference given the DWH refresh cycles of large enterprises.
OR felt like going into the release model of open source software for enterprise software obtaining a couple of releases that were bug ridden like freshly released projects.
He should have been hired in marketing at most, but even better just remained in his previous company.
let's try to be a bit more objective. my thoughts. VL came in and took the tough actions that MK was too scared to take. Business had to change to subscription pricing. For the first year, maybe 2, there was renewed enthusiasm . Biggest failing was the "leadership" appointments. How does the pompous embarrassment known as ME still have a job? MC, decent person, but a planning manager at best, some guy named ET who was a revenue VP or something, that was there for such a short time, I can't actually remember anything he did etc. OR...I'm not a product expert but seems like he should have stayed in that realm. HR...wow, what a joke. Bottom line, zero succession planning which is inexcusable for a 70 year old CEO!!! Overstayed his welcome and became a liability. A CEO has to understand his/her industry and this guy did not. Your thoughts?
loved him crying on stage though ‘hilarious’
Vic did a great job of s—ing the company dry on stock options and salary. The best thing that happened to TD is the virus. Now their failed products and strategies can be blamed on that.
He should have been fired 5 years ago. All his decisions including hiring OL was a disaster. All he did was shuffle the decks and kept reducing the headcounts. None of the top guys believed in Cloud and look where we are today. The board members of Teradata are the worst and they allowed VL to make some of the dumb decisions. p-ss-d of valuable $$ to acquire companies that were not worth the money we paid. In the end we didn't invest in CLOUD nor did we improve the product. In short we have folks reducing headcounts on monthly basis to make the balance sheet look good.
Vick as CEO should get high marks from May 2016 to May 2020 - the stock is DOWN 21%.
IBM for the same time frame is DOWN 16%. He did better than IBM if worse matters.
Oracle for the same time frame is UP 33%.
Vick and his relatives deserve all the stock, bonus and salary they received for such stellar performance.
And how about some of those winning board decisions that Vick was a part of prior to being CEO to invest and write off billions here and there for acquisitions like Aprimo and Thunk Big. Did any acquisition actually work??
