Since there isn't much work left to do at GE, we could send all of our great minds to the research facilities seeking a vaccine and treatment d–gs for covid-19. They could show the scientists our famous best practices, lean, and Six Sigma techniques to help them. It would speed the process up. Then we could show the people in the Supply Chain who distribute the PPE supplies, cleaning and sanitation supplies, ventilators, and food on how smooth it can be done. We could use Predix to track all of the data. We are experts in all of this. In this day and age of mayhem, the world needs Change. Beth can bring this to light.

Oh, we vividly remember that Maui guy. His unit just laid off 50000 ppl, lost 15 billion, and he was sitting there laughing and telling about his Maui vacation. That guy is still in the company, right?

Meh, you're better off continuing that "Success Theater" over at GE rather than proliferating employees. Besides you're already doing a wonderful job updating LinkedIn articles on how "everything is great", "We're hiring" and "GE is a digital leader". Stay relevant. Stay on topic. ;)
Our Management could show the White House coronavirus task force on how to properly do a press conference. I am referring to the All Employee Broadcast back in November 2017 as a guideline, if anyone remembers. The task force could just laugh and tell jokes while the country wastes away. Then when it's all over, we could all go on a long, well-earned vacation. Where? "Maui. Of course. Because if it doesn't have sun, and palm trees, and sand, it just doesn't count as a vacation."
Don't forget the implementation of "vanity metrics". The labs and vendors can measure things that don’t matter. We feel awesome and good about ourselves while chaos erupts around us.
GE should just give up the D rates as test dummies for all the new vaccines they come up with. It would be the most use the world has ever gotten from them and it also gives GE a chance to thin the herd as well. Just offer them an extra dollar an hour and some OT for it. Guarantee they take it! It'll protect the pension and make it last longer!
Great idea! I also recommend a chase plane when transporting supplies in case one breaks down.
