Furlough is better than a layoff. With unemployment and Fed money most are whole if not better off. Timed are tough for many companies, Ricoh included. We all could have been laid off. That would be quick and easy. Also your Manager got 3 weeks furlough. Not 7. Not sure what they will see. Time to buck up. Tough times for millions.

It is true. However, is painful to know that you were requested to take furlough when upper management already know the names of the many employees was going to lay off. That, for me. Is shameful.
This industry used to be recession proof. Now the whole industry is going down in flames. It’s a shame to see it, but not unexpected.
