Telling you the truth without bias. Yes, there are lay-offs coming. Mostly as a result of a re-org due to strategy. Are they at scale, I dont think so. We are doing better than most companies since what we do solve infra pains intensified by the COVID pandemic. VMW is struggling with a clear go to market strategy so it can sometime be unclear what direction they are going. Poor operations has led to poor execution, resulting in what i see is more than normal attrition. This can also create a market perception that is inaccurate. VMW is well positioned. All the haters our there, there is no more politics that any other company, in fact maybe less. I can say the key leaders get it. Change is eminent and will take a few years.
Anyone have any updates on the layoffs in Q2? If it is, when is it happening?
Secondly to that person I am Irish. If you google the discrimination
that Irish people have endured for many years you might broaden your
narrow views on society!! Don't assume that being 12 years in the
company I must be racist!!

All mid/top level positions in VMware Ireland go to the people that join the inner circle. That’s why all highly-qualified, hard-working resources leave VMware.

well vmware also acquired a bunch of useless companies for real cash, so ... at some point the price has to be paid
yup. it's going to be a blood bath. especially with the pivotal merger being a dumpster fire.
