Go look at NS layoff page none of this bull$hit talk about hotdogs, acting like hulk hogan or some other wrestling character, no petty bull$hit about grammar or spelling. They are actually communicating and using the site in a good way not treating it like a joke. So this week the company shuttered three locations to the tune of 583+ employees sent home (nlr 283, de Soto 300, and never got the numbers from denver) and there are now comments about something happening in west colton but seems like the only thing people are interested in is making jokes about it. Yea railroaders are a bunch of guys that slack off and joke around a lot but in these instances that’s not needed some people are actually looking to find information on their location even if it isn’t true. We are all one massively dysfunctional family but instead of tearing down everyone and spreading false stories we need to dysfunctionally band together and try to keep good information out there so people have some sort of heads up on anything that they can keep an eye out for. Yea this will probably get a $hitton of dumba$$ comments and down votes but it needed to be said we need to use this as an advantage not a joke.

No there is just as many NS id–ts on their site as there is on yours. I work for NS and it’s tied trust me.

UP has large amount of anti union employees that want to spread hate and discontent. They would rather trash and burn than stick together because of their anti union feelings. Some of this is demographic and has to do with red state blue state things. It’s really stupid because at the end of the day we all want a good job to care for our families.
NS managers don’t have time to be looking at that page like the UP managers do... they have nothing better to do hope they give them 2 weeks off no pay coming soon big bosses!!

I think something to be looked into is why do so many UP have such an uncanny resemblance to sheep? That may answer why NS does such a better job on their site.
