GM earnings provide a nice contrast to Ford (GM stock up 8% at the opening).
Ford performance is embarassing and highlights the difference in management competence vs. GM.

Put Bill Ford and Hackett in a ring with Mary Barra and she will have them both hog tied in less than a minute. Is she were running Ford, we would not be in this abyss.

Scratch that, Ford is a manufacturer of trucks, vans, SUVS and the Mustang.

Scratch that, Ford is a mobility company and customer data collector and data reseller.
Scratch that, Ford is struggling to survive and reinvent itself.
The competence level of the leadership is truly abysmal. Three years of Hackett reign have nearly destroyed the company. Farley will be a continuation of the destruction. Hindrichs would of been a far better choice for CEO. But as we know every leader with common sense who questioned Hacketts whims and fantasies had to go. Least we forget the board of directors approved of this nonsense also.
Come on Bill time to clean house at the top and on the board. You need people with both common sense and business sense.

That should tell you why they are making money and Ford is not.
