Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

NB Infrastructure and IT teams starting to get cut today and likely to continue

Confirmed several of the best and most Sr. technicians and managers have been let go in the last two days, and the team was small already. The target seems to be essential teams in cloud and essential services, but there have been moves by exec. layers to align all services with providers like Deloitte, Accenture, etc. Clearly scorched earth policy and looking to hibernate until enough activity warrants spinning up more on the contracting providers. Best wishes to those lost....

I was let go yesterday along with 2 people from my team. I personally know of at least a couple of dozen IT let go between yesterday and today. Definitely feels like "lights on" mode. Good luck to those left - it's going to be rough going and don't for a minute think that layoffs are done no matter what leadership says.

The contracters are getting cut as well. We are going into a light on phase. Plain and simple.
