Thread regarding Sungard Availability Services layoffs

And the redundancies continue.

One thing you can bet your last buck on is that irrespective of the global concerns around pandemics and economic downturn and social upheaval, SG will be steadfast in its plan to get rid of people.

Exits throughout May and into June to adjust the books in time for Q3.

Good luck.

The only decent product that was released in the last 10 years was ECS then they k–led it because they thought they would win in a market they were super late to which was managed AWS!

I can’t believe SunGard is still around. Did they get rid of the bathroom soap or
Coffee pot yet? SunGard was 2 hours into the 3 hour titanic movie 10 years ago.

Great times, will always have a piece of my heart.

So is this a partnership with Unitas or a merger?

AD is our next democratic candidate for president of the United States. He made the decision that in his first 100 days, he will have Sungard core transformed to Unitas Global. He didn’t wanna focus on government but instead is a man of the private sector. He also promised 1 round of stimulus checks every month for life.

What are these 'newer cloud recovery products'?

The problems are bigger than one person or group. The newer cloud recovery products look decent but we continue to loose good people and move away from recovery

JG is the reason SG is now irrelevant in the DR space. The competition didn’t just leap frog.... it out paced Them 50 - 1.

I'm sure some impact will be felt in Operations, as usual. Really surprised about Product getting hit and JG, if indeed that is true.
