Rolling furlough ..wtf

It is just a forced pay cut in disguise. Another way to say take pay cut or leave , but most can't due to visas and will have to swallow it. Not like managers will not force you to work when you are in furlough.

So, why is majority of staff on H1B's? They will layoff local folks, do pay cut but at the same time keep sponsoring H1B's, is it?

Have you seen stock based compensation expenses for nutanix. 307 million last year. For a company that makes a little over 1 billion revenue and ~600 million net loss, it is tremendous. The previous years are no different. Some people are just making tremendous money at the expense of shareholders. It is a sham.

Dheeraj could forfeit his entire salary and it would amount to less than 10% of his compensation this year. Senior execs also have favorable stock compensation plans that make salary cuts a rounding error. Let's not sugar coat who are paying for this.

They have been very clear that employees are not to work at all during the furlough. There's legal ramifications if they do. All the top execs have taken pay cuts as well.

Wonder how much of Dheeraj's nearly $7 million compensation will be impacted? But sure, lets take on more debt and cut wages.

All this for less than 2% labor savings.
