So the this would mean without consultation the decision has already been made to make those on furlough redundant. That probably needs legal advise.
Once furlough ends, the jobs are going to be made redundant.
Gateshead looks doomed, 50 redundant, 40 furloughed and as Einstein explained. insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
How can higher management not see this is beyond any rational persons comprehension.
Hiring & promoting unqualified people and keeping demoted managers whilst losing the skill and knowledge that made this once great company a world beater.
