Enhanced Benefits “Please Confirm”

I have seen way too many times this has happened. Yes, I am a fool being RIF-ed and came back so been on both sides. The target and doer. I just went through another event and wondered if I heard it right. Enhance benefits included one week per year up to 26 years plus accrued vacation. Continued 60 day health and insurance. Plus 6 months placement new job services. Stock retention. Etc etc etc blah blah. Is this what they are offering everyone?? Not perfect by any means but more than usual. Hate to be a no believer but wonder if it is true. If so I am impressed

So the question is, who gets the enhanced package? What is the criteria? Because so far over here it is just 1 week for every year, 60 days medical, and paid out what vacation you have accrued

Just remember, most severance packages have conditions.

So what’s the package been for someone with 20+ years?

I got the enhanced package as long as I promised not to sue for age discrimination.

Agree with your definition of "normal" vs. "enhanced". So which one did they give you?

Your all wrong... Normal severance is 1 week of pay for every year of service - up to 13 weeks, continued benefits thru the end of the month. There are a few other things but not as important as the above.

Enhanced is just double the time - up to 13 weeks X 2. 60 days of benefits. That’s all.

As for the WARN act, they didn’t have to give anyone notice due to “reduction in force due to current market conditions”... if you’ve been riff’d or will be riff’d, it will be all explained on your separation letter you have to sign to receive your severance.

I know because those f—ers let me go 10 days ago.

I received enhanced back in 2016. It was 26 weeks but I had 32 years of service. I was surprised. Good luck all.

Can say a co-worker that's been with Hal for 6 months got the call today. She received 8 weeks severance and benefits through July.

The only concern anyone should have right now is insurance is insurance. Otherwise take yourself a 9 month vacation. Every single person let go by Halliburton should draw a full 9 months unemployment. Hell in Texas it is well over 4 grand a month. If you can't live on that than maybe you need to make that lazy wife and the adult children actually get a job and contribute. Step 1 file unemployment, step 2 get cheap healthcare, step 3 give freeloaders the boot. Step4 stick it to Halliburton. Everyone take unemployment for 9 months. Maybe it will bankrupt them. Would be fun to watch. I still have my job with them but I would love to see them fold. I have seem them screw thousands over the years. Big Red is has been the sorriest oil service support company to work for the last 15 years. You are kidding yourself if you think otherwise. You guys do know that all corporations literally got there corporate taxes cut in half last year. Did yall see any money trickle down? We are talking hundreds of millions of dollars.

The WARN Act doesn’t apply here, sorry. There is an exception - unforseeable business circumstances - and this unprecedented collapse Of the entire oilfield would certainly qualify. No 60-day notice required.

No, only certain people are getting the enhanced package. Most do not. Basically, the enhanced package is double what everyone else gets. Example, 5 yrs of service is 10 weeks of pay normally plus the two. Enhanced would be 20 weeks of pay and the two in lue of notice. Don’t know the health insurance or other benefits. All I heard was enhanced doubled your weeks x yrs of service pay.

Sorry buddy, not the case. The WARN act is what is triggering the continued 60 day health insurance. By law if a facility is closing down then the WARN act kicks in and Halliburton has to notify all laid off people at the facility they have 60 days before they all terminated.
