Anyone have any update on whether DeSoto employees will be called back? Seems like a month-to-month thing?

Nah, they’ll just get a great job with weekends off for much more money and better benefits. I know this because I read it here all the time. Their skills will shine and employers will be knocking their doors down to hire them. So many choices.

Was Desoto a car shop or locomotive shop?

They have those 19 managers/minions by the wallet, with no where else to fall back to.

Yeah, they said its temporary, until it isn't.

Most likely permanent, as UP continues its push to eliminate ALL union employees, and Trump has vowed to sign the national right to work act in his second term, which removes paragraph 11 from the rail labor act, so goodbye unions, and retirement.

What's really sad about it all is the "rumors" flying around about the shops. There was stories floating around about shutting down most shops for some time. What Fritz is doing now is just wrong on every level. Praying for everyone affected. Stay strong
