It’s great that you love your time off. If everything still functions properly while you are enjoying your time off it is most likely that you will soon be enjoying all of your time off.

Considering Amazon’s profit skyrocketed during the pandemic they’re probably doing fine if they are still there.
Remember when all the ops managers were jumping ship for Amazon? I wonder how that’s working out for them now?
Last thing I read is that BNSF runs basically the same as UP with one third of the managers. That is why Buffet bought it. His massive fortune was acquired by buying well managed companies, letting them operate while collecting the dividends for over half a century. Up is very top-heavy, the reason he passed on it.
I love the time off!!!
To the original post,
I did remain in school, which is why I was able to leave UP for a better position at a well-managed F100 company. Weekends/holidays off, four weeks paid vacation, excellent work-life balance, and competitive compensation are all things that having a degree from a reputable university has done for me and many others since leaving.
Maybe if you and those of your ilk followed your advice you would all be less resentful of those of us who are better off.
1 to 3 what?
This is only the beginning. The next step is downsizing on manager's. Corporate will go by carloading percentages at all regional locations, number of employees and come up with a magical number..... which is 1 to 3 for each region. No more no less.
Hell yeah it's a good time to be a manager at the greatest company in America: Enron Pacific.
It actually starts tomorrow.
It was an employee.
This guy must be a manager. It is May the 02. Hahahahaha
