Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

Fare Thee Well Comrades

I’ve had it with the Granite City. Sold my flat and bought a nice 3 story down by Swiss Cottage. With what’s left over I’ll probably buy a little pub and try not to drink the profits LOL! Well it was nice while it lasted, take care everyone, don’t work too hard!

I spent all my money on property, cars and wife's I couldn't afford. Now I face unemployment and financial ruin, why is there no sympathy for guys like me ?
Everyone thought I was great when I had my RS6 M4 and a Thai wife half my age, but now I'm shunned and destitute.

Tough times for sure, but this is a tough industry to be in...high risk, high reward. It’s grown good men for generations and will continue to do so. My advice is to stay with it if you have the stomach for it. If not...time to go find your happy place be it a pub or a factory job. Or...possible Baker is simply not your happy place....give brand X a shot. Maybe that’s a better place for you.

Spoken like a true Graniteer! No complaining, just make a decision, move on and get on with your life.

Baker Aberdeen has been full of these type of low skilled lowlifes since the 1980s. The surprising think is that they were allowed to stay in the company for so long. Some of them reaching management positions is beyond farcical.

never saw much cameraderie in Aberdeen just a lot of backstabbing lies and spite maybe. A lot of people their own grannies wouldn’t trust

Good luck my friend. Kind of get where you’re coming from. This place has lost the cameraderie and bonhomie that it was once renowned for.
