Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

Exit interview

No structure, no management. People doing whatever they please. Management is gaggle of friends club. Written policies and procedures are for show only, NO ONE follows them. Too many ERP SYSTEMS that constantly change with no training on how to use them. People that do remain have given up...become yes men. They don't care, quit trying and are simply collecting paychecks while shaking their heads or laughing. Moral is awful. Working from home? That's a joke. I pity the company that buys this limping dog because the outside might look good, but the inside is broken and beyond repair. Alot of good, experienced people turned out on the street. Good talent is hard to find. Good luck to all that was let go.

wah wah wah. sound like a bunch of crying babies. there's more than NOV and oil and gas. if you can't get out than that's your fault. get more education. more certifications. be more marketable. the writing is on the wall. NOV is about to get picked apart for another company to swoop in, take the IP, gut it, and let go of everyone. just a matter of time.

I’m convinced that leech you mention has pics of his former boss at the tower and the duddes Canadian lunch “buddy”. There is no other explanation as to how this island chango was transferred after his cheating scandal. Not even educated.

Far as who is Mall Cop? He’s a weasel, a snake and most of all the biggest ditch (yea i know its misspelled) you will ever meet.

What leadership? Mall cop? He is good at s—ing up to his boss. And what about that leech who was caught screwing around that he transferred to Dubai? Actually Saw him on holiday in Houston last week while Dubai is on lock down. Talk about leaving the team abandoned! BS leadership!

This has been the same complaint going on 20 years now. Funny thing is if you go to any other O&G company you'll see/hear the same complaints. It isn't right, but it isn't any different than just about every other job.

There is no accountability and there hasn't been for years. If you want a place where you do nothing, where contributions go unnoticed and where you only want to collect a paycheck....this is the place for you. If you want an actual career...go elsewhere.

I understand that is difficult to do at this particular time but its a great time to prepare for your exit down the road. This company will fall sooner or later and not because of poor products and bad work....its because the pathetic leadership behind it.
