Severance packages are being eliminated due to the stimulus package benefits. Layoffs will continue through the end of June at current market conditions.

The $1200 stimulus is not even close to what severance pay would be. Not sure it's true.
My take home is 4000/month now with the stimulus package, thank you very much!!

This is not even remotely true. There is no stimulus package outside the $1200 payment that most of Halliburton employees wouldn’t even qualify for.

8 weeks severance is how they avoid 60 days notice from the WARN act, I don't think there is anyway around it unless they want to give 60 days notice...and have 60 most unproductive days of an employees life effect the business that is remaining.
They aren’t going to eliminate the severance package based on a handout from the government that doesn’t apply to everyone.
